Over the past few months, National ComTel has reached out to many commercial realtors/tenant reps throughout the country inquiring as to what they feel their responsibility is to their customers.  There seems to be a 50/50 split as to their beliefs regarding this topic.

The first half feel that they simply represent their customer against the landlord and do all that they can when it comes to the office space.  Better pricing, new carpet, additional construction, paint, possible wiring, no utility charges, office cleaning etc.  This is your expertise and you know the list better than we do.

The other half feel that if the can provide their customer with additional support and education,  then they are much more valuable than just representing them for one need. They feel that with this type of care that it will bring greater trust, future referrals, and a great reputation.

National ComTel has been speaking with, discussing and working with business owners on a list of what they wish they had before signing lease docs.  We have compiled a list of vendors/business that they felt they needed to speak with.  Let me ask you this,  what if you had a very powerful company that at no cost to you or your client would pre-qualify the Internet serviceability and infrastructure at a given location before your client signed any docs, ensuring that the client has the bandwidth to properly operate their business?  Would this not make you a super hero in the eyes of your client? What if you recommended that they speak with a business banker about an equipment loan or line of credit, would you not be a valuable asset?
